Chris Bird, 47, real estate agent aided church mission trips

Christopher Patrick Bird of Litchfield Country Club, a real estate agent, died March 11 at his home. He was 47.
He was born Aug. 28, 1972, in Atlanta, Ga., the son of Noel Patrick Bird and the late Sue Hite Bird. He was a 1990 graduate of Wando High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business entrepreneurship from the College of Charleston.
Mr. Bird was a successful real estate agent with ReMax Beach and Golf. His achievements included ReMax Hall of Fame, ReMax Lifetime Achievement and Platinum Club Awards. He was a ReMax International guest speaker who shared his experiences and successes.
Mr. Bird was an active member of Pawleys Island Community Church where he served on the Life Safety Team. He also assisted with youth missions trips with his daughter, Anna. He lived life to the fullest through travel, golf and time spent with friends and family. He enjoyed attending the Masters Tournament and golfing with his daughter, Allie.
He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, his family said. He was remembered as a bright, shining light in the various organizations that he served within the Pawleys Island community.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughters, Anna and Allie; his father, Noel (Pam); his brother, Todd (Andrea) of Pawleys Island; his in-laws, Ken and Jane Finger; his sister-in-law, Molly Tweed (Travis) of Lincolnton, N.C.; his niece, Leah Tweed; and his nephews, Jake Tweed and Slayt Bird.
A celebration of life was held Saturday at Pawleys Island Community Church.
