Floyd Eilber, 91, retired teacher was avid golfer

Floyd E. Eilber Jr. of the River Club died Jan. 8 at Brookdale Senior Living in Conway. He was 91.

He was born in Stroudsburg, Pa., the son of Floyd E. Eilber and Anna Staffon Eilber.   He was married to the late Shirley J. Eilber. 

Mr. Eilber was a public school teacher prior to retirement, after which he honed his skills as a proficient and avid golfer. The rest of the golfers may now return to the course. Floyd has retired, his family said.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Leondi of Sparta, N.J.; a son, Scott Eilber (Mary) of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Leondi, Andrea Desena and Christopher Eilber; and six great-grandchildren, Aria, Marina and Donovan, Madelyn Leondi, Willa and Thomas Desena.

Graveside services were held Jan. 15 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
