Jeremy Pait, 32, Navy vet worked in construction

Jeremy Cheyne Pait of Pawleys Island died Feb. 25. He was 32.
He was born April 11, 1987, in Lumberton, N.C., the son of Phillip Glen Pait of Bladenboro, N.C., and Kim Pait Walker of Pawleys Island. Known to his friends as Remy, he graduated from Waccamaw High School in 2005. He attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College for a year before he went on to serve in the Navy as an information systems technician. Following his service, he pursued several occupations until he found joy in the construction business.
Mr. Pait returned to Pawleys Island to help care for his mother, who is battling cancer.
He was remembered as a kind, sweet, fun-loving spirit with a heart of gold and who loved very deeply. He loved music, playing the guitar, going to the beach, traveling and having fun.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Stephanie Pait Smith of Lumberton, N.C., and her two children; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special life-long friend, Matt Holland, whom he loved as his brother.
Services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
