Robert B. Hipp, 60, served on Belin missions committee

Robert Barnett Hipp of Murrells Inlet died Sept. 4 at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was 60.
Known as Bobby, he was born Jan. 22, 1964, in York the son of James Voight Hipp and Anne Barnett Hipp.
He was a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church where he sat on the missions committee. He was a member of the Golfsters and was very involved at St. James High School and the Sharks Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marty Hipp; his sons, J.V. Hipp (Tessa) of Clemmons, N.C., and Brice Hipp of Murrells Inlet; his grandchildren, Weston Weathers and Tripp Hipp; his brothers, Jim Hipp (Edie) of Hilton Head and Bill Hipp (Jean) of Clover; his sister in law, Carol Hipp of Charleston; several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog, Hike.
In addition to his parents, his brother, John Wesley Hipp, died before him.
A celebration of his life was held Monday at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
