Ricky Cornwell, 81, active in Lakes Golf Club

Richard Paul Cornwell of Murrells Inlet died Jan. 10 at his home. He was 81.
Known as Ricky, he was born Dec. 20, 1943, in Camden, N.J., the son of Herbert Leon Cornwell and Iris Margaret Cornwell.
Mr. Cornwell was an avid golfer and an active member of the Lakes Golf Group.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Cornwell; his children, Barbara, Kelly and Richard, all of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; his sister, Joan, and brother, Herb, also of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
His other brothers, Robert and Earl, died before him, as did another sister, Iris.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. today at Burroughs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10 a.m.
