Nicholas Stone Miller of Litchfield died June 23. He was 82.
Known as Stoney, he was born June 4, 1943, in Greenville, the son of Thomas Whitmire Miller and Doris Bane Miller. He was married for 44 years to the late Linda Still Miller.
He was remembered for his wit and storytelling along with his love for family, respect for tradition and sense of joy in life’s simple pleasures.
He is survived by his daughters, Helen Miller Phillips and Eugenia Miller Marshall; his grandsons, Henry Miller Marshall, Oliver Stone Marshall and Sorren Stone Phillips; his brother, Thomas Whitmire Miller Jr.; and a wide circle of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Another brother, John Ingram Miller, died before him.
