Annette Zdun, 104, artist was advocate for democracy

Annette Latisha Zdun, 104, of Pawleys Island died Sept. 18. She was 104.
She was born February 15, 1920, in Pittsville, Wisc., a daughter of John and Grace Eggen. She previous lived in Sarasota, Fla., and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc.
Early in her life, Mrs. Zdun was an educator and a practicing real estate agent. She was also an established artist, and her work was exhibited in local shows and galleries. She enjoyed spending time dancing and was an avid advocate for democracy.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Georgetown Watercolor Society.
She is survived by her son, Wallace Zeddun (Suzanne) of Pawleys Island; her grandson, Steve Zeddun (Jess) of Washington, D.C.; her great-grandchildren, Carter Zeddun and Skyler Zeddun of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husbands, Carl Boettcher, Bill Holt and Edward Zdun, and another grandson, Richard Zeddun, died before her.
A celebration of her life will be held privately at a later date.
