Anthony F. Cavaliere, 71, retired NYC sanitation worker

Anthony Francis Cavaliere of Allston Plantatation died Dec. 27 at his home. He was 71.
He was born Oct. 2, 1953, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Nancy and John Cavaliere. He was a retired sanitation worker with the N.Y. Department of Sanitation.
Mr. Cavaliere loved to play golf and his guitars, walk the beach, swim in the ocean and create beautiful furniture in his wood shop. He took pride in being meticulous and precise in his work. He also loved listening to his favorite blues artists.
He is survived by his wife, Randy Berne Cavaliere; his daughter, Jacqueline Cavaliere Klein (Jonathan) and son, John, of Staten Island, N.Y.; his stepdaughter, Ilene Schneider Onieal (James) of Columbus, Ohio; his stepson, Avery Schneider (Christina Serio) and son, Reese, of Buffalo, N.Y.; and his sisters, Donna DeSilva of Pawleys Island, Judy Guerin of Moriches, N.Y., and Nancy Cavaliere of Brooklyn.
His son, Christopher, died before him.
A graveside funeral service and burial will be held at 2 p.m. today at Beth Elohim Cemetery in Georgetown with Richard Dimentstein and Andrew Friedman, who are family friends, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Make-a-Wish Foundation.
