Jeanette Burkett of Georgetown died Feb. 6 at her daughter’s home. She was 89.
She was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Pawleys Island, the daughter of Mottie Moore Casselman and Lillian Carraway Casselman. She was married to the late Paul Burkett.
Mrs. Burkett was remembered for her warmth, kindness and loving spirit.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula McConnell (Roger) and Debbie Bryant of Georgetown; her grandchildren: Joey Hewitt (Renée) of Lexington, and Kevin McConnell (Casey), Dale Hewitt (Jessica) and Ian Cameron, all of Georgetown; and her great-grandchildren, Bethany Hewitt, Jayden Hewitt, Chloe McConnell and Cade Hewitt.
In addition to her husband, another daughter, Nancy Cameron, died before her.
A graveside service was Monday in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
