Larry A. Elliott, 78, Murrells Inlet businessman

Larry Allen Elliott of Murrells Inlet died Feb. 5 at his home.  He was 78.

He was born June 14, 1946, in Carters Crossroads, the son of Robert and Mary Carter Elliott. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and attended Charleston Southern University, where he played on the golf team. After serving in the Army, he attended Midlands Technical College in Columbia. 

Mr. Elliott owned and operated We Sweep Inc. for many years before retiring in 2019. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and loved going to his farm. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda A. Elliott; his sisters, Mary Lee Phillips and Betty Sue McAllister; a brother, Bucky Wendell Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.  

Two other brothers, Charles Elliott and Bobby Elliott, died before him.

A memorial service was held  Wednesday at Lands End Marina Yacht Club in Georgetown.
