Michael W. Rowe, 65, chemical operator at 3V

Michael Wayne Rowe of Pawleys Island died Aug. 1 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. He was 65.
He was born Oct. 5, 1958, in Georgetown, the son of Andrew Donald Rowe and Bobbie Owens Rowe Campbell. Michael graduated from Winyah High School in 1976 and became a commercial shrimper. He went on to work for Stone Container in Jacksonville, Fla. Later, he settled back in Georgetown as a chemical operator for 3V Chemical.
Mr. Rowe had a love for drag racing and spent his time watching the races at the drag strip.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Owen Rowe of Conway.
Another brother, Andrew Donald Rowe Jr., died before him, as did his parents.
A graveside service was held Sunday at Elmwood Cemetery by Pastor Jack Todd.
