Peter List of Litchfield Plantation died April 17 at the Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center. He was 60.
He was born Feb. 20, 1965, in San Gabriel, Calif., the son of Paul List and Judy Staab.
Mr. List was one of the most sought-after labor consultants. He was held in high regard by everyone who knew and worked with him.
He was remembered for his professional drive and intelligence, but his true pride and joy was his family. He put others before himself, never hesitating to drive countless hours to spend time with his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Leslie Paisley List; his children, Jack List (Mary Catherine), Sam List and Maddie List; his stepfather, Douglas Staab; his stepmother, Candy List; his brother, Richard List; and his sister, Jennifer List.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baskervill Food Pantry, to which he regularly contributed, at holycrossfm.org.
At his request, he will be interred privately at the Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
