Sue Greer Campbell of Charleston, a former Pawleys Island resident, died March 15. She was 87.
She was born May 9, 1937, in Easley, the daughter of Adrian Elgin Greer and Nell Couch Greer. She was married to the late William Russell Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell was a radiology tech at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards (especially bridge), cross stitching, volunteering her time with various ministries at the Abbey at Pawleys Island and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved coffee, a good story and a funny joke.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Campbell Baumrind (Victor) of Charleston; her son, Russ Campbell (Hayden) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Alice Campbell, William Campbell, Ian Campbell and Trae Baumrind; her brother, Phil Greer; and her sister, Nancy Bagwell.
Another sister, Betty Phillips, died before her.
A memorial service was held Wednesday in Charleston. A private graveside service will be held at All Saints Church at a later date.
